College of Nursing
Overview

BS Nursing is a four-year degree program with a strong educational foundation in liberal arts, sciences, and professional nursing courses taught with a transdisciplinary approach. Nursing concepts are taught concurrent with related learning experiences (RLE) to achieve required nursing competencies for entry level positions in health facilities or community settings. Related Learning Experience (RLE) Provides intensive nursing practicum for experiential learning and on-site, hands-on practice that will refine clinical knowledge, skills, and attitude.

Aims to prepare a student who, upon completion of the program, demonstrates beginning professional competencies in the key areas of responsibility, assumes accountability for professional development, and utilizes research findings in the practice of the profession.
